Electrical Technician

Reporting to the Electrical Coordinator, the Electrician constructs data storage facilities and installs required power wiring to meet specifications. Must have Certificate of Qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Organizes tools and materials for construction and power cabling of units.
• Constructs cages and installs racks and related support structures.
• Installs power wiring, including wiring to primary electrical panels. Test completed installations for viability
• Installs power distribution equipment, lights, switches, ballasts, capacitors, starters and all related equipment to Q9.
• Must be able to work with flexible and EMT, all conduit including all cabling all sizes. Involves working on stepladders, extension ladders, scissor and boom lifts, and possibly bucket trucks
• Must be able to work on low voltage and medium voltage circuits, switchgear and power cables included
• Confirms details of installed structures and power with Product Engineering.
• Provides assistance in data cabling when necessary.

Working Conditions

• Involves working indoors and outdoors.
