Q9 Opens New Toronto Data Centre
First of three new facilities scheduled to open in 2007
Toronto, ON - February 5, 2007 - Q9 Networks Inc. (TSX:Q), a leading Canadian provider of outsourced data centre infrastructure, is pleased to announce that its new Toronto data centre opened on January 31, 2007. The $20 million facility, which has a capacity of 1,000 cabinet equivalents, is the first of three major expansion projects to open.
The other projects include a second data centre in Calgary and a significant expansion of the existing Brampton data centre. When complete, these expansions will establish Q9 as one of the largest operators of data centre facilities in Canada with a projected total capacity in excess of 7,500 cabinet equivalents. Q9 is expecting to invest a total of approximately $65 million in the new facilities.
