World Wildlife Fund Canada Moves To Q9 As Online Donations Double
Growth Makes Web Site A Critical Medium for Fundraising, Advocacy and Events
Toronto, ON - June 24, 2003 - Q9 Networks Inc., the leading Canadian provider of Internet infrastructure services, is pleased to announce it has been awarded a managed hosting contract by World Wildlife Fund Canada (WWF-Canada). Under terms of the agreement, Q9 is providing the organization with a Q9express dedicated hosting bundle comprising servers, centralized tape backup and a managed firewall.
WWF-Canada, one of the country's leading conservation organizations, with more than 60,000 individual supporters, is increasingly relying on the Internet as an environmentally friendly method of facilitating advocacy, fundraising and event management.
"We've seen exponential growth in our online donations, both in terms of dollars raised and the number of donors," says David Prowten, VP Public Support, WWF-Canada. "In the past year, donations via the Web site have doubled and online registration for WWF-sponsored events surpassed all other methods for the first time.
"As a result, we can't afford to be down, not even for an hour. Q9's expertise, fully managed solutions and impeccable references gave us the confidence to entrust them with our critical systems."
Q9 delivers unparalleled service through an extensive suite of customer care products, including a web-based portal that provides complete visibility into customer equipment and Q9 services. All Q9 and customer systems are monitored from the Q9 Network Operations Centre (NOC) 24 hours a day, seven days a week. NOC experts are also available to customers on an around-the-clock basis to resolve issues and provide advice.
"WWF-Canada is engaged in important work on behalf of all Canadians and we are delighted to have been selected as their hosting provider," says Osama Arafat, CEO, Q9 Networks. "Q9's breadth of solutions, depth of experience and commitment to customer service continues to give us the competitive edge in attracting top organizations across all industry segments."
Q9's sole focus on Internet infrastructure allows it to hire, train and retain highly qualified experts in Internet-specific disciplines. Key services are backed with service level agreement (SLA) guarantees for installation time and problem identification and response. These factors enable customers to outsource mission-critical systems to Q9 with complete confidence.
