Filogix Selects Q9 Networks to Provide Comprehensive IT Infrastructure for New Mortgage Origination System
Calgary, AB and Toronto, ON – May 31, 2004 – Q9 Networks Inc. (TSX:Q), a leading

services, is pleased to announce it has been awarded a comprehensive managed
services contract by Filogix Inc., a premier provider of mortgage and real estate related
technology.
Under the agreement, Q9 is providing a comprehensive suite of managed
infrastructure services that will maintain the security and reliability of the new Filogix
point of sale software, filogix expertTM, used by more than 7,500 mortgage
professionals and filogix expressTM, used by more than 77 lenders, including all major
banks, across Canada. The Q9 solution includes managed firewalls, high-availability
Internet bandwidth, remote link services and physical space in its state-of-the-art
downtown Toronto data centre.
filogix expertTM and filogix expressTM enable mortgage-related transactions between
brokers, lenders, creditor insurance companies, credit bureaus and other trading
partners connecting to the Filogix network. Deployed with Sun®, Java® and Oracle®
technology, they minimize administrative overhead and streamline the support
functions of mortgage brokering. They also facilitate easy and comprehensive straight
through processing, automated pre-qualification, contact management, integrated
credit bureau data, connectivity to creditor insurance companies and fulfillment
services.
