Calgary, AB - September 27, 2005 - Q9 Networks Inc. (TSX:Q), a leading provider of outsourced Internet infrastructure and related managed services, is pleased to announce it will mark the third anniversary of its Calgary data centre with a visit from Mayor Dave Bronconnier on Tuesday, October 4, 2005.
Q9 has enjoyed considerable success in Calgary since opening its facility in October, 2002. In less than three years of operation, Q9 has filled almost half of the centre's capacity by attracting leading Alberta organizations such as AltaGas, EnCana, Running Room, the Alberta Real Estate Association and many others.
Q9's state-of-the-art Calgary data centre provides highly secure physical infrastructure, including the latest in biometric authentication, video surveillance, and round-the-clock security officers, while at the same time permitting unannounced customer access. The facility is engineered to eliminate any single point of failure, with multiple layers of redundancy in power systems, HVAC, and fire detection and suppression. All systems are monitored from Q9's multiple Network Operations Centres (NOCs) 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
