Q9 Networks Appoints New Chief Financial Officer
Toronto, ON - December 21, 2005 - Q9 Networks Inc. (TSX:Q), a leading provider of outsourced Internet infrastructure and related managed services, is pleased to announce that it has appointed Tim Smart as Chief Financial Officer, effective January 3, 2006, replacing current Chief Financial Officer Samir Zabaneh. Samir will be leaving at the end of this year to join Fortress Canada Investment Corporation.

Tim Smart is currently VP Finance for Q9 Networks. Prior to Q9, Tim held VP Finance roles at MDC Partners and First Asset Management. Prior to that Tim held senior positions at V3 Semiconductor, Rogers, and Ernst & Young. Tim is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Master of Business Administration degree and an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from McMaster University.
